I am an ecological physiologist who investigates the impacts of climate change on the physiology and behavior of marine invertebrates. I have established field sites from Massachusetts to Georgia to test hypotheses about how temperature and other factors― like population density, food supply, and pollution―impact the survival and reproduction of the Atlantic marsh fiddler crab. I teach a variety of courses at Mount Holyoke College, a women's college that is gender-diverse, including animal behavior, introductory biology, marine conservation ecology, being human in STEM (HSTEM), and a seminar on race and biology. My research lab is comprised entirely of undergraduate researchers.
